All You Need to Know About the Paris Agreement

Five posts About the Paris Agreement in One Place

Today we will finally know whether Donald Trump will make good on his campaign promise to withdraw from the Paris Agreement.  As background, here are five posts I’ve written since the agreement was adopted in December of 2015.

First, Thoughts on the Accomplishments of the Paris COP , which explains why Paris is such a big deal and why solving the climate change problem is so tough.

Second, If Trump Guts Key Programs, Does Staying in Paris Even Matter?, which outlines the Trump administration’s assault on all things climate and ponders what staying in Paris despite the assault would mean.

Third, What Do We Really Gain if the U.S. Stays in the Paris?, which argues that if Trump were to stay in the Paris Agreement, it might mask just how destructive his domestic policies are.

Fourth, What Happens if the U.S. Remains in the Paris Agreement?, which attempts to imagine how the Trump Administration might actually respond to the U.S. responsibility under the Paris Agreement if he chooses to stay in.

and last, The Way Trump Withdraws from the Paris Agreement is Almost as Important as Whether He Does, which describes what would happen if the U.S. withdraws from the UNFCCC as a way to get out of its Paris obligations.
