Legal Planet Goes Hollywood — Sort Of

Trump’s “War On Cities” gets a media hit

A couple of months ago, I wrote this post about the Trump Administration’s war on cities, a move that resembles fascist regimes and thinkers through much of the 20th century.

Much to my surprise, I got a call on Friday from a producer at the “Velshi” show on MSNBC to talk about it on Sunday morning. So I did. It was 7 am Pacific time and I was fasting for the Jewish observance of Tisha B’Av, but made it through okay. Here it is, if you’re interested:

  1. I’ll have to read that book. I don’t get why cities would be seen as “Western” particularly.

That was an interesting discussion. I agree that local government can be less partisan. (Is it ironic that I think LA is too Democratic? There is a certain lack of common sense here.) Cities can be wonderful places to live – usually only if you have money though. (Maybe that is a US thing though.)

    1. Most places can be wonderful places to live if you have money. You can buy a castle in rural Western Ireland with stunning views of the Atlantic… If you don’t have money though, you are so poor you have to speak Gaelic.

I also notice that there are many charming homes in Glasgow, if you have money…
