Exploring Climate Change and the Law
Looking for a way to pass the time over the long Labor Day weekend? Want to learn more about the legal and policy dimension of climate change?
Check out Berkeley’s course on climate law, now available here on YouTube. Scholars discuss everything from the economics of climate change to WTO issues raised by biofuels ,and from IP issues for energy technologies to the evolving role of insurance companies. Not to mention the Supreme Court’s decision in Massachusetts v. EPA, climate change and biodiversity, and post-Kyoto climate negotiations, as well as a wealth of other topics.

Cool link, thanks.
Even letting the debate continue, when our species may hang in the balance, says something about us. I argue that there is a certain presumptuousness surrounding our approach to how we are addressing global warming that goes well beyond simply having a short-term perspective. What if the cockroach has a more sustainable position? I recommend the following post: http://euandus3.wordpress.com/2009/11/05/climatic-presumption-what-is-the-forecast/
