Evan George is Director of Communications for the UCLA Emmett Institute, a leading environmental law center. He also writes The Drain, a weekly roundup of environmental and climate news.

He’s a writer, editor, content strategist and veteran journalist with a passion for addressing the climate crisis through research, policy and storytelling.

Before UCLA, Evan was the News Director at KCRW public media – the flagship NPR member station in Los Angeles – where he led the newsroom’s broadcast and digital operations. Previously, he was an editor at the Daily Journal, a food blogger, and a cookbook author.
