Sabrina Ashjian is a clinical supervising attorney and project director for the Emmett Institute on Climate Change & the Environment and the California Environmental Legislation & Policy Clinic at UCLA School of Law. She was previously at the UC Berkeley School of Law Environmental Law Clinic and taught environmental justice courses. She advanced animal welfare and environmental legislation as the California State Director for the Humane Society of the United States. Prior to that she served as a consumer fraud & environmental protection prosecutor and she began her career as a public defender. Sabrina has been appointed by two governors to serve the state. First by Governor Brown to the Cannabis Control Appeals Panel, and most recently, by Governor Newsom to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board.
